As part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA), school districts, as per New York State Education Department, have different Indicator Areas they must report on as part of the State Performance Plan (SPP). NYSED tells the districts which SPP Indicator they need to provide information on for the current year. This year Mount Pleasant is required to submit information for SPP Indicator 8, which seeks to gather information regarding parental involvement. Each parent of a CPSE or CSE student with an IEP will be asked to fill out a Parent Survey. This survey is anonymous and is mailed directly to the University of Potsdam, who tabulates the responses on the surveys. We hope that you will take a few minutes to fill out the survey. Information you supply will inform us of the areas where we are doing well and the areas we need to work on and improve. We value your input and opinions, and I would like to thank you in advance for your participation.
Please feel free to call the Pupil Personnel Office if you have any questions.
