Mt. Pleasant CSD Universal Pre-K Interest Survey

Mt. Pleasant CSD Universal Pre-K Interest Survey

The Mount Pleasant Central School District is exploring the creation of a Universal Pre-K (UPK) Program for 4 year olds which would run at no cost to district residents. The next step in the process is to gauge if sufficient interest exists to run the program. Anyone within the Mount Pleasant Central School District and with a child who will be 4 years old by December 1, 2024 would be eligible to register. Please help us to spread the word to those who may qualify.

Please respond to the Mt. Pleasant CSD Universal Pre-K Interest Survey

We are currently evaluating starting a Pre-K program beginning in September 2024. The program would be five hours long each day from 9 am to 2 pm. We expect it to be housed at the Holy Rosary School in Hawthorne. To run, each class must have 16 students.

Additional hours will be offered by the provider at an additional cost to the parents for before/after care and holidays. Please note that parents and guardians are responsible for transportation, lunch, and snacks. At this time, New York State has provided funding to the District for 64 students. If more than 64 students wish to enroll, we are required to use a lottery system to select students for the program.  If funding increases or decreases for the 2024-2025 school year, we will offer more or fewer slots based upon the grant funding available to the District.

We look forward to hearing from you and potentially welcoming our littlest Wildcats!
