ANNUAL BUDGET VOTE/SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION WILL BE HELD JUNE 9, 2020

Voting Will Occur by Absentee Ballot

Please note that according to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.26, voting will occur by absentee ballot.  There will be no in person voting nor voter registration. Ballots will be sent to qualified voters and are to be returned no later than 5:00 pm on June 9, 2020 to the Mt. Pleasant CSD - District Office, 825 Westlake Drive, Thornwood, NY.  Qualified Voters may register to vote with the local County Board of Elections by completing an online application with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. A qualified voter must be 18 years old by June 9, 2020, a citizen of the United States and a resident within the Mount Pleasant Central School District  for 30 days immediately preceding the vote, and not otherwise prohibited from voting.

The following three candidates are running for two open seats on the Board of Education.  The three-year term begins July 1, 2020.

BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATES

To run for a seat on the Mount Pleasant school board, the following requirements must be met:

  • Be a U.S. citizen and resident of the school district for at least one year
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Fill out a nominating petition which is available at the district clerk's office
  • Submit the completed petition to the district clerk's office
